Position Description:
In this position you will be responsible for ensuring customer satisfaction by providing telephone technical support for Apple's line of Professional Software (Aperture, Final Cut Pro, Logic Pro, Motion, Compressor and Mainstage). Provide appropriate handling of telephone and email support to Apple Enterprise level/high-end customers. Excellent customer skills and a strong knowledge or aptitude for digital audio and video technologies required. The ability to make sound decisions within the empowerment guidelines. Excellent written, verbal, and organizational skills required. Handles questions and issues that usually focus on specific product segments, addressing both hardware and software. Responsible for effectively positioning and selling Apple's support products and technical solutions. Responsible for reporting and escalating issues and problems through appropriate channels. Strong emphasis on adhering to process and procedures. Ability and willingness to work non-standard business hours (as part of an overnight support schedule).
The ideal candidate will have maintained above average attendance and phone metrics in most recent technical support position. Be a strong advocate for customer satisfaction. Excellent general knowledge of professional production/post-production tools. Requires strong, consistent, high-quality soft skills.
Normally requires AA/AS degree or higher plus 4-5 years of experience in a customer service/support environment or equivalent experience in one or more of the following areas:
Formal Education/Field Experience in one or more of the following areas:
In-depth familiarity with codecs and QuickTime technology
Digital Photography Post Production principals and workflow (Aperture, Lightroom, etc.)
Television Station/Broadcast Production/Post Production
Non-Linear Editing (Final Cut Pro, Media 100, AVID, etc.)
Video/Film technology (Video Levels, Media Formats, Telecine, etc.)
Film/Video production workflow including color grading/correction (Color)
Film/Video/Audio production/post production signal flow
Music Production/Sequencing/Mixing and audio post-production (Logic Pro, Soundtrack Pro, Pro Tools, etc.)
Motion Graphics and compositing principals and software (Motion, AfterEffects)
DVD Authoring (DVD Studio Pro)
Compression of media for Web/CD/DVD (Compressor)
Data storage, asset management and server solutions in the Professional Video/Film market (Final Cut Server, Xsan)
