Snohomish PUD is seeking an Engineer to work with the operation of the Districts distribution system ensuring delivery of continuous, reliable, efficient, and safe electrical power to all District customers. Assures that an accurate Distribution Model is maintained within the Distribution Management System. Act as subject matter expert and works with all DMS and OMS assigned to Operations. Supports the maintenance of the current (dynamic) state of the distribution grid and substation models in DMS. Maintains ECC procedures for using DMS/OMS/ SCADA. Serves as technical expert to real time ECD’s for power system and contingency analysis to support ECD’s and Outage Coordinator operational requirements. Leads daily data validation and loading process that supports the system model. Serves as lead trainer for ECD’s on a variety of DMS/OMS operations. Provides technical support for real time operation in DMS/OMS including coordination with GIS standards and Distribution Planners.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s of Science Degree in an Engineering related field; and,
- Six (6) years related engineering experience, with two (2) of those years as a Lead or Project Engineer; and,
- Must have demonstrated the successful accomplishment of work of the nature defined for this job level, “Professional Engineer”.
OR
- Associate of Arts Degree in an Engineering related field; and,
- Eight (8) years related engineering experience, with two (2) of those years as a Lead or Project Engineer; and,
- Must have demonstrated the successful accomplishment of work of the nature defined for this job level, “Professional Engineer”.
OR
- High School Diploma or equivalent; and,
- Ten (10) years related engineering experience, with two (2) of those years as a Lead or Project Engineer; and,
- Must have demonstrated the successful accomplishment of work of the nature defined for this job level, “Professional Engineer”.
