The Sales representative is responsible for selling paint and related products to new and existing customers, including painting contractors, commercial, institutional, industrial and governmental purchasers. The Sales representative executes National and Divisional sales plans and provides on-site technical support for successful application of AkzoNobel products.

Requirements:
Bachelor's degree preferred, not required.
Two to four years prior sales experience; paint/coatings industry experience preferred
Knowledge of paint coatings and characteristics including substrate qualities, preparation requirements and application methods in order to offer sales and product support
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Customer focused and is able to anticipate needs
Able to build and maintain strong relationships
Action oriented, focused on driving for results
Shows initiative in overcoming obstacles and innovation in selling methods
Travel in local area - company car provided
Valid Driver's license is required as well as a satisfactory driving record
Physical capability for heavy lifting
