Professional Services – Regional Account Director recruitment

This internationally recognized professional services firm is a global brand name, with a presence in all key international business centres, and an excellent standing across the region. To support the rapid expansion of their business in the region, they are looking to further strengthen their business development function through the appointment of a Regional Account Director for their Asset Management clients, who will be responsible for the development of priority client accounts within this sector across Asia Pacific.

Reporting to the Regional Client Servicing Partner, you will be responsible for working with key internal stakeholders who are responsible for the development of key accounts across the business regionally to develop the account strategy and relationship plans, and you will be on the “front line” working with the responsible partners in sourcing and winning opportunities for the firm. You will be responsible for a range of client facing activities, in developing C-suite and senior management relationships, understanding client’s requirements and qualifying needs, securing sales meetings and developing proposals, and ultimately closing deals. Internally you will advise lead partners in developing account strategies, manage sales processes, coach senior internal stakeholders were necessary, and work with the global account management team to ensure that all strategies are in line with global initiatives.

The successful candidate will have at least 12 years of outstanding sales experience, with at least 4 years in a managerial role, liaising directly with clients in this sector. Vital to this role will be an active network of asset managers and asset servicers, as well as experience in managing major accounts and complex long term sales pursuits, where you have been operative at the board level. You will need to know how to get things done in a large complex matrix organization, and the ability to thrive in and inspire multidiscipline client service teams. Tenacity in chasing big opportunities will be vital to this role, and you must be savvy regarding the professional services environment. First rate English language skills are necessary for this role, additional Asian languages preferred.
