Progam Executive

Adecco Engineering and Technical, a division of the world leader in the recruitment of engineering and information technology professionals, has an immediate opening for a Project Manager/Program Executive on a 1 year contract opportunity with a leading company in Sacramento, CA.
In this position the Program Executive has primary responsibility for managing the Executive Management functions for a scope of work contract awarded to our client. The Program Executive serves as the single point-of-contact for all matters related to global client project administration, including: Business Management, Strategic Engineering, Program Management and Client communications.
Extensive travel is required for this position - Program Executive will oversee and manage staff for all campus roll out locations. Responsible for the coordination with client in the development and implementation of global communications, processes, and reporting. Executive Management is also responsible for assuring that communication issues are addressed in a timely and effective manner as they occur.
Program Executive

Responsibilities:
Global Communications

  • Ensuring efficient and timely communication between company and client including vendors and subcontractors
  • Specific emphasis on communications and interaction with Executive Management
  • Participate in regularly scheduled PMO Meetings, Business Management Meetings and Executive Committee Meetings to ensure the coverage of key issues and the dissemination of critical information
  • Schedule and conduct frequent ad hoc meetings and conference calls to provide project updates, progress, and improvements to ensure a collaborative approach to overall governance of the project
  • Develop Implement Standardized Processes

  • Creating consistent (worldwide) processes for the deployment and post-implementation management of project
  • Identify areas for improvement regarding existing processes and assign the appropriate team member the responsibility for making the necessary changes.
  • Defining processes for quantifying project resource needs, determining "assign-buy-build" status and acquiring/assigning appropriate resources.
  • Responsible for assigning campus Project Managers for rollouts using standard project management methodology the Project Managers will determine resource requirements. This includes defining project activities, duration, effort, sequence and dates in order to determine resource assignments.
  • Coordinate the efforts and smooth integration of external and internal resources.
  • The Program Executive will conduct frequent ad hoc site visits and telephone calls to the client representatives to develop working relationships at numerous client site locations, extensive travel required within the State of California.

    Minimum Qualifications

    - College/advanced degree with emphasis in Business or Information Technology.
    - PM or engineering level experience with some combination of layer two and layer three switching,
    network security,
    - Wireless LAN and Network Management Systems.
    - PMP certification.
    - Experience as a program manager on large scale network integration projects (in excess of $10 million)

    Executive Management Skills

    - Extensive experience in executive interaction and communication.
    - Proven experience in defining resource requirements, and monitoring/measuring staff effectiveness against requirements and expectations.
    - Expertise in project status reporting (written and oral).

    Business Management Skills

    - Experience with business financial functions and applications.
    - Experience in budgeting, financial forecasting,
    - Budget-to-actual variance analysis.
    - Experience in sales order entry, procurement, invoicing, and sales order/shipment reconciliation.
    - Expertise in business and financial process definition, development, documentation and implementation.
    - Knowledge of financial reporting and tracking methodologies.
    - Project Management Skills
    - Ability to define, organize and manage multiple projects concurrently.
    - Proven experience in defining resource requirements, and monitoring/measuring staff effectiveness against requirements and expectations.
    - Expertise in project status reporting (written and oral).
    - Technical Experience
    - Extensive "hands-on" and project leadership experience in large-scale systems design and development.
    - Background in systems design and development methodologies.
    - Proven experience in systems implementations and deployment, with an emphasis on large-scale hardware/software deployments.
    - Hands-on technical expertise in computer-based business applications (Microsoft Word, Excel, Visio, Outlook, PowerPoint, Explorer, etc).
    - Knowledge/experience with web-based software and applications.
