Program Administrator
Summary
This position reports to the SVP Operations. This position is responsible for organizing development activities, creating project plans and schedules, tracking project progress, and reporting project progress to management. This position works closely with the product development team to assist in the organization and timely completion of the project, and with senior management to report project progress and status.
Job Description
This position:
· Works as an integral part of the product development team
· Assists the product development team in the identification and organization of activities required to successfully develop and launch product
· Creates project plans that provide a framework for development activity
· Tracks progress of development activities against plans
· Communicates progress of development activities to the development team and to management
· Identifies time critical activities and works with the development team to ensure timely completion
- Creates budgetary estimates for the project
- Tracks project costs versus budget
- Indentifies risks involved with the project and solves them efficiently
- Develops and proposes risk management strategies
- Maintains technical documentation related to the project.
- Monitors the interfaces between the groups involved in the project
- Schedules meetings and reviews to facilitate project communications
- Prepares reports about the program and submit to management as requested
· Ensures compliance to an FDA 13485 Quality System
Desired Skills Experience.
· 5 years experience is a Program Manager/Administrator role is desired
· Experience in medical product development from concept through commercialization
· Strong communication skills, written and verbal
· Knowledgeable in project plan software
· Ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines.
· Experience in quality and documentation systems requirements within a regulated medical product environment
· Ability to:
o work cooperatively with diverse team members
o work aggressively toward long term goals
o assist in the organization of development activities to reduce schedule risk
o perform effectively under stress
o work within a technical team environment
o present information in an effective and articulate manner
o make presentations in a group settings
Educational Requirements
- Degree in business Administration or a technical field, or equivalent experience, is desired
- Completion of Program Management certification courses, or equivalent experience, is desired
