This National Park Service (NPS) position serves as a Program Analyst in the Sustainable Operations and Climate Change Branch within the Park Facility Management Division (PFMD) of the Washington Support Office (WASO), and is duty-stationed in Washington, DC. This Branch is primarily responsible for the development and administration of processes that support the PFMD; mission and goals in the areas of sustainable in a coordinated approach across organizational boundaries. The PFMD provides professional staff, advice, technical and policy direction for the NPS infrastructure and facility management programs nationwide. Respond to requests from the field, other agencies and the public on various issues related to branch activities. Prepare briefing materials and other reports and drafts responses to correspondence. Write and edit news releases, articles, fact sheets, brochures and other information materials. Gather, review and analyze environmental data and information from the Climate Leadership in Parks greenhouse gas inventor ies. Perform other related duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED: Back to top To qualify for the GS-09 grade level, applicants must have one year specialized experience equivalent to the GS-07 grade level and to qualify for the GS-11 grade level, applicants must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-09 grade level. Specialized experience is experience that has equipped the applicant with the specific knowledge, skills and abilities to perform successfully the duties of this position and involves providing coordinating the development, administration, and reporting of statistical information and develops and maintains databases, reports and analytical studies related to facility conditions, operational conditions, facility types/locations and visitor surveys. Education To qualify for the GS-09 grade level based on education, applicant's must have a master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.B. or J.D., if related. To qualify for the GS-11 grade level based on education, applicant's must have a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.M., if related.
