Program Associate, Services for Students with Disabilities
The College Board, a national educational organization, is conducting a search for a Program Associate to support our Services for Students with Disabilities (SSD) Program. This position is resident at our New York City headquarters.
POSITION SUMMARY
The Program Associate will provide overall support for SSD Program services to students and schools/school districts. Key responsibilities include managing correspondence with schools/school districts, administration of various SSD databases, conducting administrative review of requests for testing accommodations, and working with external vendors and consultants.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage correspondence from schools, parents and vendors regarding the College Board accommodations request process
- Conduct initial review of basic requests for testing accommodations to determine if they meet school verification, documentation, or other SSD standards.
- Process requests for access to SSD Online.
- Perform a variety of computer-based functions which include: update data in SSD online and related databases; updating SSD website, creating and updating databases; resolving case and document-related issues.
- Coordinate external reviewer process, including assigning requests to reviewers
- Work with vendors to respond to questions and resolve issues.
- Perform a variety of administrative tasks, including maintenance of department supplies, correspondence with vendors and consultants, maintenance of confidential records.
- Perform special assignments/projects relating to the maintenance and improvement of SSD processes.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education/Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent, and a minimum of 1-2 years of relevant work experience.
- Experience working in an educational environment is preferred.

- Understanding of the education environment, including familiarity with special education services, preferred
