Minnesota School of Business, Elk River campus seeks a full-time Program Chair for the Information Technology program. This position provides programmatic support to faculty, staff and students and reviews programmatic needs and makes recommendations to the Network Program Dean. This position will also provide classroom instruction.

Responsibilities may include:

· Develop and provide program-specific training for new faculty members within the program; provide ongoing support of all faculty members in the program

· Collaborate with Career Services to identify potential partnership opportunities (placement, externships, etc.) in the community

· Advise program-specific student organizations as directed

· Work with Dean of Faculty and Network Program Dean to identify best practices for classroom instruction

· Develop and implement retention strategies (faculty and student) within the program

· Ensure course materials are current, relevant, rigorous, reflective of Program Advisory Committee feedback, and applicable to the current standards in the field of study

Ideal candidates are patient, well-prepared and passionate about their discipline and have a desire to contribute to the training of our next generation of professionals. We operate on a quarterly calendar, with courses running for 12 weeks. This position is ideal for working professionals who wish to add a second source of income as well as for career instructors/trainers.

Qualifications

· Master Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Information Systems

· 3 years of work experience

· Additional certifications preferred

Earned degrees must be awarded by a postsecondary institution accredited by an accreditation agency recognized by the United States Department of Education. Credentials earned at a foreign institution must be from an institution recognized by the respective government and will be evaluated for equivalency to U.S. degrees. CB#
