Diamond Healthcare is opening a 26-bed Psychiatric Inpatient Geriatric Program in Albuquerque, NM. There will also be a Structured Outpatient Program (SOP) associated with the Behavioral Health Program. Renovations of a Long-Term Acute Care (LTAC) facility are currently taking place. The program will be opening in first quarter of 2012.
SUMMARY PERFORMANCE DESCRIPTION: Responsible for the overall coordination, administration and management of psychiatric services and ensures high quality, high utilization and adherence to both DHC and Hospital Policies and Procedures and Plans.
REPORTS TO: Diamond Healthcare Senior Executive.
EDUCATION: Masters Degree in Business, Healthcare, Psychology, Nursing, Counseling or related field or equivalent experience.
PRIOR EXPERIENCE: Minimum of five years experience in administrative, clinical or healthcare management with an emphasis on experience in the field of psychiatric or behavioral science modalities. Marketing experience helpful.
WORKING ENVIRONMENT: Will be located in and around the Inpatient Behavioral Health Department and the Hospital facilities. Some hazard potential from possibility of physically acting out behavior of patients and health related communicable diseases, some assistance may be required in assisting patients in personal hygiene and positioning.
