JOB DESCRIPTION ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Responsible for leading a team of Program Managers driving large-scale, strategic growth new product development initiatives with diverse, multi-functional, multi-site core teams as well as managing complex relationships with external partners and contractors. This individual will excel as a player coach, and create a team that is the ultimate accountable owner of assigned growth programs. Responsibilities include: Attract, develop and retain a team of high potential Program Managers Collaborate heavily with Strategic Marketing and Divisional Marketing to adequately plan for new Project and Business Opportunities. This will includenot only providing project management direction but also serving as leader, strategist and advisor. As the key escalation conduit, provide formal and informal project status updates to Senior Management translating technical details, risks and action plans in a concise and direct fashion conducive to decision making Organize Product Development Stage Gate reviews and ensure up front resolution of issues Proactively balancing competing priorities for PM team and working closely with them to help reprioritize and/or negotiate resources as needed to optimize schedules and outcomes Active involvement in project schedules, critical path, key milestones and supplier development plans providing on going guidance to promote and ensure early risk identification and development of mitigation strategies. Provide direct guidance and coaching to PM team on project communication plans, helping identify the right level of detail and delivery mechanism for different audiences Collaborate with Advanced Supplier Development team to define supplier and partner needs both short and long term helping prepare and secure adequate resources with external partners and suppliers Collaborate with all internal functional leaders to ensure the appropriate project resources are assigned and gaps are identified and communicated Coordinate the creation, maintenance, management and timely submission of project budgets and deviations that may affect other functional groups Help to define and implement best practices, reporting/communication needs, tools, and templates as needed. Identify and deploy tools to enhance productivity and effectiveness. Promote the standardization of Project and Program Management process adoption and ensure compliance with PDP and PPRM established processes. Monitor performance across the PMO, tracking key issues such as schedule/milestones, budget, scope, staffing, and quality
