Program Director recruitment
A Program Director is required for a newly created role heading up a large scale GL/Payroll system integration. The Program Director will have demonstrated experience in project management as well as experience providing leadership and direction to project teams.
The successful Program Manager will at times, be required to take on a 'hands on' focus, particularly in the initiation phases of the project. This role is suited to an individual who has a strong mix of project delivery, people management, vendor management and previous experience in a program level role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic program and project delivery including, assisting in the development of business cases, directing the development and implementation of strategic project solutions to meet business case objectives, ensuring effective scope management and governance throughout the solution delivery lifecycle and working with procurement to source competitive external service providers to deliver key project outcomes
- Relationship management - develop relationships with technology partners and business stakeholders
- Take a leading role in driving major initiatives that have bottom line impact
- Ensure SLAs are clearly defined, mutually agreed, monitored and reported
- Line management of Senior Project Managers, Project Managers and Project Coordinators.
Essential Requirements:
- A strong background in project management, with previous experience in a Program Director role
- Demonstrated experience in the implementation of large scale GL Payroll systems
- Strong negotiation and influencing skills
- Demonstrated experience in best practice project management competencies including scope, time, cost, quality, people, communications, cost, risk, procurement and integration management
- Strong business acumen to identify opportunities, develop compelling business cases and drive for benefits capture to the 'bottom line'
- Strong proven leadership - motivate, develop, and manage staff to achieve excellent levels of performance
- Strong relationship management skills and the ability to communicate at all levels of seniority.
