JOB SUMMARY:
Under general supervision, coordinates and manages engineering projects to ensure deliverables meet customer timing requirements and expectations. Creates, maintains and integrates project timing plans. Interfaces with customers, internal engineers and peers to address and resolve issues to achieve alignment in program direction.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
o Must have familiarity with the PPAP process
o Must understand, document, track, coordinate, and communicate all details related to any specific project in compliance with engineering procedures policies
o Must coordinate all aspects of project to achieve fastest possible project completion
o Must know how to read engineering drawings
o Must have knowledge of injection molds, molding, stamping any other process related to the project assigned
o Must understand, document, track, coordinate, and communicate all details related to any specific project in compliance with engineering procedures policies
o Must be proficient with Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat and Actify Spinfire
· Data print
o Must coordinate, verify the latest part data, prints are active controlled
o All controlled information must be in agreement with the master BOM
- Verification of Tool Engineering functions
o Deliverable capability:
§ Designs are reviewed approved thru the Design Review process
§ All aspects of Mold Requirements are fulfilled verified
§ Delivery as per PO is maintained
§ Changes made to tooling during project development are incorporated into designs
§ All communication with tooling vendors is to be made through the assigned Tooling Engineer
§ A try-out form is to be completed controlled for every trial
v This includes trials performed outside our facilities, which includes overseas
o Review of weekly progress reports to verify they are meeting program objectives
- Verification of Fixture Engineering functions
o Deliverable capability:
§ Gauging/Fixturing is procured
- Gauge/fixtures are completed as per PO
- Gauging/fixtures satisfy all client gauge/fixture requirements
§ All communication with Fixture/gauge vendors is to be made through the assigned Fixture Engineer
- Materials /or component verification

- All required materials are procured to maintain client timing
§ All required materials/components are on site at all trials/builds in sufficient quantities to support required volumes.
§ Purchases must consider all start-up waste normal scrap
- Maintains an appropriate level of conventionality and conformance in regard to the corporate culture. Relates well with others, including, as appropriate, peers, supervisor, subordinates, customers and suppliers while maintaining good attendance. Assumes appropriate role(s) when working in a team environment. Responds appropriately to unexpected and/or continuing situations, which develop in the work environment.
MINIMUM LEVEL OF EDUCATIONAL TRAINING:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
· At least five years of related program management experience.
MINIMUM LEVEL OF KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:
- Demonstrated knowledge and application of general engineering principles and methodologies.
- Project management skills to define program, project or process objectives, identify customers/stakeholders and their interests, plan steps, and to coordinate resources to accomplish goals/objectives in an effective and timely manner.
