POSITION SUMMARY: Serves as a company expert in acquisition functions including, contract reviews, work breakdown structures set up, project labor categories and translation tools. RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsible for transition and integration process of project data and beginning receivable balances into system. Provides support to acquired mangers and employees during the transition phase with all aspects of accounting functions. Provides support to managers in ISG Contract Accounting in maintaining department's policies and procedures to ensure Sarbanes-Oxley and DCAA compliance. Maintains current knowledge with SEC pronouncements and FASB guidance to ensure proper revenue recognition methodology. Develops and recommends complex accounting systems, methods, procedures and controls. Assists with formulating and installing policies and programs which enable the company to recognize economic opportunities and realize maximum benefit from such opportunities. Maintains appropriate project accounting controls to ensure compliance for revenue recognition and invoicing. Reviews, coordinates and provides documentation to support various internal and external audit requirements. Performs statistical analyses to determine trends, estimates, and significant changes, and writes narrative reports explaining findings. Monitors compliance with generally accepted accounting principles and company procedures. Reviews, investigates, and corrects errors and inconsistencies in financial entries, documents, and reports. Installs, modifies, documents, and coordinates implementation of accounting systems and accounting control procedures. Conducts studies and submits recommendations for improving the organizations accounting operation. EDUCATION EXPERIENCE: Typically requires bachelors degree or equivalent and 10 to 12 years of related experience. Must have experience in a Federal Government contracting environment. Must have an active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Normal demands associated with an office environment. Ability to work on computer for long periods and communicate with individuals by telephone, email and face to face. Some travel may be required.
