Program Management Manager

Tyco Fire Protection Products (TFPP) is a business unit of Tyco Fire Products (TFP). We are a worldwide leader in saving lives and protecting property around the globe with our broad portfolio of chemical and water segment products for the fire suppression and building products industries.  Within TFPP we design, manufacture, and distribute the highest quality products with market leading features for the Commercial, Residential, Storage, HVAC/Plumbing, and Food Service, Petroleum Oil Gas, Mining, and Marine markets. TFPP is a recognized leader in researching new technologies and developing innovative solutions for our customers. The business unit has approximately 3,200 employees with 15 manufacturing plants and 44 Distribution Branches in Europe, the Middle East, Africa, Singapore, Shanghai, Canada, Latin America, and the US.   TFPP is headquartered in Lansdale, PA.
 
 
TFPP is currently hiring a Program Manager to work in our RD Center, located in Cranston RI.
  
Program Manager responsible for the managing projects related to engineering. The Program Manager will be responsible for the coordination and completion of projects.  
Overseeing all aspects of projects within the Engineering team
Setting deadlines, assigns responsibilities, and monitors and summarizes progress of project.
Prepares reports for upper management regarding status of project. 

The ideal candidate will have following:
 
Product Development and manufacturing business experience required (i.e. working with design engineers, manufacturing, sourcing, product management, marketing, etc.)
Perform quality work within deadlines with or without direct supervision.
Establish and maintain effective working relationships.
Demonstrate the organization's values by bringing issues to the appropriate managers in a timely manner for resolution, sharing best practices among all teams, serving as a brand advocate, mentoring and leading by example to support a positive work environment, and encouraging other staff to do the same.
Develop and maintain positive relationships with all stakeholders and assist them, as appropriate, with issues or concerns to satisfactory resolution.
Perform other related duties as assigned
Demonstrated track record of managing product development projects to completion.
Can deal with ambiguity - Can effectively cope with change, shift gears, and make decisions.
Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Project and Excel.  Visio experience desired.
Excellent oral and written communication skills. Strong analytical, writing, and presentation skills.
Strong conflict management and critical thinking skills.
Ability to perform as a team player.
Project Management Book of Knowledge (PMBOK®), is a plus
PMP® certification desirable, but not required
