Program Management Principal, People Strategy and Implementation, for Office of the Chief of Staff to CIO Description The Kaiser Permanente Information Technology (KPIT) organization is currently seeking to hire a Program Management Principal to lead development and implement the KPIT People Strategy; the Principal will lead efforts to align strategy with operational goals; ensure implementation excellence, and provide consultation for People strategy with key customers. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker who is assertive and flexible, possesses a positive attitude, and effectively leverages customer perspectives to build and sustain support for strategies and plans. In this role, you will support the Chief of Staff to the CIO Vice President in developing an organization-wide People Strategy to support staffing, retention, compensation, performance, behavior, reward, promotion, and training / development. This position will report directly to the Chief of Staff to the CIO, Vice President with matrix reporting to the IT Human Resources Executive Director. The primary customer of this role will be the IT Executive Committee (ITEC) which includes the Chief Information Officer and direct reports. Essential Functions: - Provides leadership, consultation and implementation expertise on the design, development and deployment of multiple strategic programs to support KP 2020 vision, including: - People Strategy - Location Strategy - Change Leadership - Partner with Human Resources Consultants (HRCs) across the IT organization to plan, design, and implement programs that support the strategies (People Roadmap) - Leads visible and complex improvement projects to identify and resolve talent issues of strategic importance to the organization - Determines goals and priorities with HR Leadership - Develops and implements proposals outlining project structure, approach and work plans - Designs research plans for data gathering and analysis, interprets analysis and develops and implements action plans accordingly Qualifications: Basic Qualifications: - 10+ years of experience in Strategic Planning, large-scale program management for human capital programs from concept through implementation and improvement measures, Workforce Analytics, Process Improvement Processes, and culture Change Management. - Bachelor's degree or 4 additional years of equivalent work experience; MBA and PMP/PgMP certification preferred - Understanding of and experience in business process improvement and the tools and data requirements for supporting an effective business process improvement practice. - Strategic thinker: understanding of the Kaiser Permanente imperatives and IT strategy in developing the People strategies - Exceptional interpersonal and negotiation skill; ability to build internal coalitions and strive in a census driven organization with a culturally and linguistically diverse workforce and clientele. - Self starter: ability to work independently, think on your feet, creatively solve problems and plan with limited direction. - Collaborative and team-oriented: work with different teams to develop strategies and programs to improve group dynamics, leadership and individual skills. - Excellent written, oral communication and presentation skills; quick learner capable of applying new tools and techniques. - Demonstrated awareness of leading edge research to drive human capital value
