Program Management Senior Consultant
Dell Inc. is a global provider of information technology solutions. We are currently looking for a Program Management Sr Consultant to join our team in Austin, TX.
Job Responsibilities and Duties:
Leads cross-functional, WorldWide core team(s), kicks off programs, establishes schedules and drives meetings. Cross Functional Team members can include GICS Services, Services SPM, Services Mktg, PG Eng, PG Qual, CoC, PG Mktg, Regional BU Mktg, WWP, GOE, Finance, etc.
Drives the core team to meet or exceed program objectives (Cost, Quality, Schedule, Features, Fulfillment/Continuity of Supply, Solution delivery across products service offerings, and Customer Specific Needs).
Establishes clear objectives and deliverables for each program that support the LOBs business. A Program Manager is often expected to manage multiple programs in parallel.
Develops Phase Review deliverable document(s), schedules timely executive review, and delivers phase reviews along with interim updates. Tracks progress, reports status and makes necessary corrections to achieve program objectives.
Establishes working relationships and influences/persuades at the Manager, Director, General Manager, Vice President, and Senior Vice President Level.
Subject matter expert in product development processes, product/solution areas, and customer needs and usage.
Builds effective, high performance core teams and provides ongoing performance feedback to functional management.
Manages major risks and issues through effective contingency planning and proper escalation
Manages non-product or solution cross-LOB initiatives, examples include Cost of Goods Sold management, and Resource sizing/planning
Strong leadership, command, organization, planning, and influence skills. Strong written/verbal communication and executive presentation skills. Strong business acumen. Drive for results.
Qualifications
Required Skills:
8+ years career experience in more than one functional discipline (e.g. Engineering, Marketing, Operations, Procurement, Services, Quality)
Experience and knowledge of product development/life cycle processes and management. Technical aptitude in design/use/manufacturing of consumer products (notebook, desktop, tablet, phone). People management experience is desirable. Experience in product development, program planning and management. Experience in program management including product/schedule planning and senior management interaction. Experience leading broad cross-functional teams.
Strong initiative and ability to work in a self-directed environment. Ability to multi-task in a dynamic environment. Ability to present clear and concise information to senior management, cross-functional teams, internal and external customers. Ability to analyze, set priorities, and solve complex problems. Ability to build effective teams. Ability to deal with ambiguity.
Minimum Educational Requirements:
Engineering/computer science degree preferred
MBA - desired
