Program Manager – Fund Services recruitment
Our client is a leading global financial institution. This role is situated within their fund services team focusing on Asia markets.
Job description:
- To participate in the sale process from RFP to Due Diligence to implementation.
- Define and track project scope, goals and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with management and stakeholders.
- Cross product, system and user coordination for client on boarding and testing.
- Perform line management functions and perform deputized functions as required.
- Manages one or more IT programs concurrently
- Oversees all technology components of diverse, moderately complex IT projects, including project planning, execution, timing, functionality, quality and cost.
- Utilizes expertise and leadership skills to direct staff and to resolve issues to ensure project goals and requirements are met.
- Communicates with end-users to provide timely and accurate information and status updates.
- Has shared responsibility for budget, policy formulation and planning.
- Contributes to formulation of strategies for IT project leadership and other functional areas.
- Applies in-depth understanding of concepts and procedures within own area and basic knowledge of other areas to resolve issues that have impact beyond own area.
- Demonstrates a comprehensive understanding of how areas of IT project leadership collectively integrate to contribute to achieving business goals.
- Provides evaluative judgment based on analysis of factual information in complicated and unique situations
- Ensures essential procedures are followed and contributes to defining standards.
- Persuades and influences others through strong communication and diplomacy skills; may negotiate with external parties.
Job requirement:
- Experience in at least one of the following areas: Securities and Custody/Funds Admin/Middle Office and trade processing.
- At least 8+ years of relevant experience in financial services technology, project / program management on Mainframe and Wintel applications.
- Experience managing projects and programs, where these programs crossed international boarders and utilized out-sourced staffing.
- Experienced in Project Management Office (PMO) role and governance procedures
- Strong and proven record of leadership and supervisory skill
- Strong interpersonal communication skills to maintain good relationship among different stakeholders is required.
- Ability to cooperate with wide variety of sources, including upper management, clients and other departments.
