Program Manager - New Product Development

Job Description Eaton Corporation's Electrical Division is seeking a Program Manager - New Product Development to support our Industrial Controls Group. The primary function includes but is not limited to: Managing New Product Development (NPD) portfolio, deploying Project Management principles in order to lead large cross functional teams through Eaton?s PROLaunch NPD phase gate process. Scope of projects will range in size and complexity and could also include Product Line Support, Cost Reduction and / or Business Process Improvements. Lead the Platform, Site or Business Unit Program Management and Integrated Product Team(s) to drive customer satisfaction, continuous improvement and life of the program financial performance by managing programs, contracts, and business relationships. Must be able to work cross functionally with all facets of the organization (including Engineering, Marketing, Supply Chain, and Manufacturing) to ensure successful product launch on-time and on-budget. Responsible for the successful execution of the Platform or Division?s site NPD projects and budget allocation. International travel will be expected for this role. Basic Qualifications (Including Educational Requirements) Basic Qualifications ? Bachelor?s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering or Program Management from an accredited institution required; ? 10+ years experience in Program Management; OR a combination of a minimum of 5 years Program Management experience with a minimum of 5 years additional Engineering and/or Product Development Management ? Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship. Preferred Qualifications ? Project Management Institute (PMI) accreditation (PMP) ? Advanced degree ? Experienced in NPD programs for industrial products or components. ? Good understanding knowledge of industrial control products and broad knowledge of the Industrial Control market preferred. ? Very proficient in Program and Project Management methodologies, processes and tools ? Practitioner / trainer level knowledge of MS Project, Lean manufacturing, Design for Six Sigma methodology, and / or overall knowledge of manufacturing processes and procedures also a plus. ? Excellent communication and presentation skills ? both verbal and written with ability to make necessary status reports and technical presentations to Eaton management and customer ? Experience in developing, implementing and improving project and portfolio reports and tracking metrics. ? Experience in Risk Management ? Strong analytical skills and business acumen ? Proven Leadership skills - capability to lead change in an Integrated Team environment across multiple sites and customers globally.
