Position Overview
Plans, organizes, and manages original equipment programs from conceptual stages through product life cycles to optimize profit and meet marketing, financial and corporate growth objectives.

Primary Responsibilities:

* Collaborates with various functional areas (i.e. contracts manager, finance, etc.) in negotiating contracts.
* Participates in and oversees overall program strategy, research and development requirements, development, and manufacturing coordination for new and emerging products.
* Serves as customer advocate within company for program defined.
* Coordinates technical product development, estimates of potential profits and release to production.
* Supports marketing analysis to develop product definitions.
* Collaborates with various functional areas, including sales, engineering, marketing, quality, finance, manufacturing and operations to develop and provide product definitions responsive to customer needs and market opportunities.
* Functions as primary customer focal throughout a program's life cycle.
* Coordinates and develops marketing, sales, engineering, and financial plans for programs.
* Provides financial and technical justification for product selection and definition.
* Prepares program development objectives and schedules for all phases of product development and introduction to market.
* Produces competitive analysis materials comparing product with its key competitors.
* Participates in key sales situations for product.
* Maintains communications and contacts to collect and analyze technical, financial, schedule, and sales information for product line.
* Meets Policy Deployment Matrix (PDM) improvement targets.
* Develops Business Case Analysis in support of new program activities.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Required:

* BA or BS degree with at least 5 years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
* Must be eligible to work in the U.S. and have U.S. Citizenship, Permanent Residency, Refugee, or Asylee status
* Excellent written and verbal skills.
* Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to relate to customers and to all levels of an organization.
* Business and technical acumen.
* Good computer skills with ability to learn new programs/software.
* Ability to read and understand technical drawings and documentation.
* Ability to read and understand contract documents.
* Ability to work under pressure and within time constraints.
* Good negotiation skills.
* Excellent organizational skills with ability to multi-task amidst rapid change.
* Strong bias for action with ability to product results
Preferred:
* MBA
* Previous program management experience
