Responsibilities and prospects for Program Manager include: Lead and manage the design and development activities to achieve goals of approved programs for new or modified products, processes and equipment Plan and present program resources, costs and timing for worldwide programs Communicate program status and progress to the appropriate organizational colleagues Plan and lead activities with the resources of functional areas, including RD, Quality, Engineering, Manufacturing, Marketing and Finance, in conjunction with appropriate functional managers, to implement worldwide programs Initiate and assign projects, plan and direct schedules and maintain priorities for assigned, new or improved product, process and equipment programs Lead and direct global product evaluations and testing to achieve the functional, quality and consumer performance and business requirements Interface with manufacturing, RDE and other areas to ensure that the product, process and equipment are developed for optimum manufacturability, while achieving the required product cost and quality with minimal capital investment Maintain appropriate technical and business knowledge to assist in obtaining approval for recommended programs Provide a program management environment in which colleagues will foster teamwork and synergy, innovation and creativity and will be willing to take prudent risks Maximize effectiveness and foster individual empowerment by delegating appropriate responsibility, authority and accountability Responsible for coordinating with the manufacturing plants and functional design managers to ensure the program product and process meets local health, safety and environmental regulations Prepare, maintain and control program business plans and budgets within area of responsibility Plan and direct the use of appropriate outside resources for program activities Education and experience for Program Manager include: Bachelors Degree in a Business or Technical Discipline (mechanical engineering) Advanced Technical or Business Degree preferred 10+ years of experience in related technical and/or business responsibilities at the professional level, with a minimum of 3 of those years in a management capacity About Kelly Engineering Resources Kelly Engineering Resources (KER) is a specialty service of Kelly Services Inc., a leader in providing workforce solutions.
