Kaiser Permanente Program Manager II Burbank or Oakland, CA Kaiser Permanente is looking for a Program Manager II in the Business Transformation Services team. Essential Functions: - Program Leadership and Management: Successful track record of leading moderately complex workstreams within a program, and moderately complex organizational Initiatives. Deep understanding of program and project management methodology; ability to negotiate, and work effectively under tight timelines to meet project and/or program goals. This individual will have extensive hands-on experience leading a variety of mid to large moderately complex initiatives or worksteams, having significant program impact. - Excellent Communication and Influencing Skills: S/he will be persuasive, fact based, credible with excellent interpersonal skills. Track record of consulting with senior Program Leaders and Managers to make difficult program decisions, and obtaining consensus with stakeholders and clients. This individual must work collaboratively with internal leaders, staff, business partners and vendors. Excellent organizational management with the ability to achieve strategic objectives. - Team Building and Development: The successful candidate will have managed and developed a strong team of staff,/project managers. This individual will be able to understand their team's strengths and weaknesses in an attempt to consistently provide support to develop their skills, while serving as a coach and mentor. - Other Key Skills: Analytical and critical thinking Problem solving and sound business judgment Strategy development IT Systems knowledge HealthCare/Operations experience Knowledge about operational controls and customer service improvements Knowledge about planning, developing and delivering training as a result of operational changes and/or impacts resulting from Program implementation Knowledge about e-document and online printing and data archival solutions preferred Knowledge about Healthcare Claims processes and operations a plus. There is up to 50% travel within California (with occasional out of state travel) for this position. Qualifications: Basic Qualifications: - 5+ years program management experience in a health care setting - Bachelor's degree or equivalent in health care, business administration, or related field required or 4 years of related work experience Preferred Qualifications: - Consulting experience - Working knowledge of health care reform
