Job Overview:
The Program Manager is responsible for customer satisfaction and satisfactory financial performance for the development, production, and/or support phases of complex component and system development programs. This includes successful management of scope, cost/resources, schedule, subcontract management, and performance management of various assigned programs.
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide monthly project updates (Program Status) of current situation relating to contractual milestones and problem/high risk areas.
- Provide input and direction to the program team(s) in areas of customer concerns, potential changes in scope and risk assessments.
- Direct overall performance on programs assuring that the cost/scope/schedule is met and resources necessary to achieve this are appropriately identified and communicated.
- Monitor overall performance during all phases of programs and develop and implement correction action and recovery plans as required.
- Manage the customer relationship, maintaining customer satisfaction, yet assuring that scope is managed appropriately and contract changes are secure where appropriate.
- Lead teams in identifying, quantifying and mitigating risk.
Job Qualifications:
- Requires a BS in Engineering, PMP preferred.
- Minimum 7 years experience in Program Management with knowledge of contracts and federal laws.
- Aerospace industry experience preferred.
- Knowledge with negotiations.
- Leadership skills.
- Problem solving skills.
- Communication skills - both verbal and written with ability to make necessary status reports.
