We are currently seeking a Program Manager for our Miamisburg, Ohio location. The ideal candidate will oversee execution of contracts and manage customer relationships. He/she will drive business activities from proposal phase through product development, full rate production and end of life. The candidate will also manage customer contract and reporting requirements and direct internal product development project teams to deliver fully compliant products on time and on budget.
Key Responsibilities:
Ø Performs and/ or interacts with the field sales activity associated with the product segments, including prospecting, demonstration, and closing. Coordinates any inside and field sales support given product segment. Also coordinates with Marketing on trade show and conference presentations, including preparation of displays.
Ø Interfaces with Sales Manager to develop marketing and sales strategy, pricing policy, sales forecasts, as well as reviewing product segments for new additions or deletions to meet changing market demand.
Ø Performs additional activities associated with the product segments as quotation processing, sales forecasting, contract negotiating, as well as coordination and monitoring of the monthly shipping schedule.
Ø Manages all new products and key programs for the customer.
Ø Achieves positive customer satisfaction metrics.
Ø Ensures compliance to contractual and regulatory requirements including FAR and ITAR regulations.
Ø Works with engineering for the design of new programs or redesign of existing programs, including specification, parts list, and testing. Drives the internal teams to deliver fully compliant product on time and on budget.
Ø Recommends new processes, where needed, to improve on-time delivery.
Ø Assists in the preparation of all portions of the Annual Operating Plan and Strategic Goal Setting Plans associated with product segments. Responsible for meeting or exceeding both the profit and sales growth goals set in those plans. In this connection, monitors and reports monthly bookings shipments, costs, inventories, and profit. Recommends corrective action when plan variances occur.
Ø Ensures a safe work environment by monitoring accident investigations and other safety related activities in the work area.
Ø Performs other related duties of similar complexity as directed.
Critical Success Factors:
Ø Technical Skills: Requires a B.S. degree in Engineering with a solid understanding of manufacturing business and a minimum of 8 years experience in the Engineering and/or Sales of the same or related programs, or equivalent training and experience. PMP certification a plus.
Ø Communication Skills: Effectively communicates with and engages all levels of the organization verbally and in writing; translates technical decisions/strategies into business terms and implications; produces clear, understandable documentation geared for all audiences.
Ø Management of Resources: Allocates time and resources efficiently, focusing on ever-shifting priorities; continually seeks way to improve individual/team efficiency. Demonstrates ability to be an effective leader and manager in a matrix-reporting environment.
Ø Change Management: Exhibits an assertive personality with a strong bias for action with a results-orientation; tackles tough problems with firm deadlines.
