This is a Senior Program Management role working with Medical Devices for one of the leaders in the Injection Molding Industry. Our client has been in the molding industry for over 50 years and have enjoyed a very stable history even managing Double Digit growth over the past 3 years. They have a number of domestic facilities and a very strong international presence as well.

The Program Manager will:

- Provide engineering support to the sales group for presentations to help sell manufacturing capabilities as well as quote part, tooling, validation and automation costs on new programs.

- Determine customer requirements and negotiate price with vendors for tools, equipment and services and establish work plan and staffing for each phase of project.

- Oversee the progress and activities of the Program Team and developing Engineers as well as advise subordinates in the more complex phases of their work

- Communicate with customers to understand their needs, preferences, and perspectives while ensuring that the customer's requirements are fully considered in the course of development of programs.

- Lead cross functional teams to achieve timely, within budget results, with products and processes that meet or exceed requirements while delivering quality products on time, within budget and with competitive features.

- "Go to Person" for design and technical oversight for all aspects of the project.

-Thorough knowledge of Lean Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing principles.

Requirements:

- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical/Plastics Engineering or related discipline with 7 - 10 years of experience in a Program Management role

- Project leadership experience within a manufacturing, development or research environment and substantial management experience with human resources responsibilities.

Previous training and experience preferred in plastics injection molding, high speed automated systems, and quality principles as well as previous experience in injection mold/automation commissioning, qualification and validation processes.

Extensive knowledge of validation process including IQ, OQ, PQ protocol development and execution and a thorough understanding of the requirements specified by the FDA, OSHA, ISO, QS and governmental agencies and the Healthcare industry.

ASQ Certified Black Belt preferred.

Compensation up to $85,000 that includes a competitive base and bonus with company stock and matching 401K also available. This position is located in the Boston MA area and relocation assistance is offered..
