Program Manager

Responsibilities HJF is seeking a Program Manager to support the National Capital Area Medical Simulation Center (NCAMSC) located Silver Spring, Maryland. HJF provides scientific, technical and programmatic support services to NCAMSC. The incumbent will support medical simulation activities under the direct supervision of the TMSTI PI. The incumbent will perform program management duties and other administrative tasks (some of which are difficult and complex), work on multiple projects (valued at over $5 million) concurrently, and provide support in highly confidential matters. Responsibilities: 1. Coordinates management of research projects, project meetings to include but not limited to, managing requirements for consortium meetings (in-house, virtual, and off-site), assisting in agenda preparation, and conference calls. 2. Serves a primary role in developing approaches to collecting and distributing materials and coordinating logistics, budget, and registration support for conferences, conventions, and workshops. 3. Manages resources and materials required for project and consortium meetings, presentations, and training classes. 4. Develops and maintains project reports and tracking project progress. 5. Assists in overseeing/tracking scenario review process. Coordinates with career field managers and consultants in the FMSTC to ensure timely completion and realism. 6. Assists with expense reports. 7. Creates and edits PowerPoint presentations. 8. Drafts and edits correspondence. 9. Edits Word documents. 10. Develops and maintains Excel spreadsheets for tracking information. 11. Makes copies of materials, prints documents, sends faxes, finales documents, mailings. 12. Other support may include general planning, administration, and execution. Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Prior experience supporting an Executive strongly preferred. Must be able to demonstrate advanced skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint and possess strong keyboard skills. Experience with Microsoft Access is a plus. Excellent written and oral communication, organization, and prioritization skills required with a high level of accuracy and discretion essential. Familiarity with military protocols is a plus. Must have experience working independently and with a geographically dispersed team, possess strong problem solving skills, be able to respond effectively to changing priorities, and be a strong team player. Minimum Education/Training Requirements: Bachelor's degree. Minimum Experience: 4-6 years related experience in military medical education is required with prior experience in medical simulation education and training is preferred. Supervisory Responsibilities/Controls: Supervises support staff. Work Environment: Office and laboratory setting.
