Wyle IS is seeking a Deputy Program Manager to support a FAA customer in Washington DC. Duties include: ? Serves as the focal point for all activities and interaction across teams. ? Overall responsibility of the position is providing vision and leadership to develop and implement relocation plan to ensure quality services are provided within a very tight schedule ? The candidate will provide verbal and written presentations to Executives and Senior Managers. ? Directs project team personnel, manages costs and schedules, ensures contract compliance, and serves as customer interface. ? Responsible for planning, organizing, directing and tracking all aspects of the project, including technology, schedule, cost, contract and customer satisfaction ? Planning, implementing, and maintaining a project organization structure and recruit and select team members ? Interfacing with government customers and articulating a technical and operational vision for the program along with proposed plans to meet that vision ? Managing subcontractor efforts and selection as required, including review of invoices and Subcontractor status reports, and provide feedback to Subcontractor managers on the performance of their teams. ? Analyzes project effectiveness of the organization and makes changes when needed. ? Assesses performance of subordinates and coaches them to improve performance. ? At least ten (10) years of weather program management and/or operations experience. ? Experience in Aviation Weather to include: - Weather forecasting/models/tools/data - NOAA/NWS weather programs - FAA weather programs - FAA NEXTGEN Aviation Weather ? Experience in FAA NEXTGEN programs ? Demonstrated excellence in planning, directing, and managing multiple weather programs/operations ? Working knowledge, experience administering, and managing Multiple tasks along with substantial weather programs similar in size and scope ? Successful management, supervision of employees of various labor categories ? Knowledge of weather information network design and operation. ? Knowledge of networking and network-based software applications for weather forecast dissemination. ? Demonstrated ability for oral and written communication with the highest levels of management. ? Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in a field that provides substantial knowledge useful for managing FAA requirements similar to those under this task order. competing deadlines
