Job Category: Software Engineering: Program Management Location: Redmond, WA, US Job ID: 788886-76864 Division: Interactive Entertainment Business Turn 10 Studios, the makers of the Forza Motorsport series, is looking for a Lead Program Manager to manage the development and enhancement of our online and distributed services and to drive feature requirements, scheduling, cross group interactions, dependencies, and releases. We are looking for someone who can technically understand, discuss, and represent complex problems and solutions for cross-group and cross-company dependencies and interactions. Attention to detail and good execution skills are crucial. Functioning well in a fast paced environment, working closely with development and test, and collaborating efficiently with teams both inside and outside of Turn 10 are all essential. To effectively perform these activities, the Lead Program Manager should: Care deeply about delivering relevant user experiences and be able to convince key stakeholders about new breakthrough functionalities and experiences using supporting data and analysis Work with a cross functional team of program managers, engineers, and product managers to define Integration plans and turn them into actionable plans Translate plans into a prioritized backlog of functional and non-functional requirements Analyze market and competitive data to identify and quantify market opportunities Track and analyze user behavior to identify highest value segments and opportunities Understand latest technology advancements and work with engineering in identifying optimal opportunities and solutions Ensure the maintenance of appropriate, predictable cadence of releases in accordance with the release policy for each product. Agree on a release plan for each release including clear decision points for scope reduction, risk management and change control processes Throughout the life of each release, the Program Manager will continue to monitor and analyze product performance metrics Qualifications: - Solid technical skills (web and platform technologies), especially with scalable, high-concurrency production and test environments, with the ability to quickly adapt to new technology and go deep in new focus areas - Proven experience discussing, understanding and contributing to detailed technical issues such as software/network architecture. - Management experience managing vendors, contractors or FTEs - Great attention to detail and a hard-core focus on shipping high impact features with smooth execution. - Outstanding oral and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with a large number of partners and customers and translate requirements into a product vision and roadmap - Development background (.net, asp.net, c#, wfc) and/or experience/knowledge in network/server hardware/software - 5+ years project management skills - Strong working knowledge of Product Studio - 5+ years in completing multiple product ship cycles - BS+ in computer science or equivalent - Experience working with and running live services *To consider similar job openings within Microsoft Game Studios on MS Career, use keyword: Microsoft Studios SC:ME J2WERPL1
