Job ID: HITS02121031 Program Manager, Logistics-Quantico, VA-HITS02121031 Description: Program Manager, Logistics HITS02121031 Job Description: * Program Manager is responsible for operating and growing an IT Services/Logistics business in the USMC Community. * Coordinates program efforts with other internal activities and with outside entities, when required, making decisions in consideration of the effect they will have on the organization, economic impact and policies. * Determines program goals and resource needs, develops work plans, allocates resources, and accounts for their effective use. * Plans, organizes and directs subordinate project task leaders, including the establishment of project schedules and operating procedures to ensure efficient daily operations of the project. * Conducts periodic meetings with project management staff to review project progress, policies and procedures, and to gather and disseminate corporate matters of interest. * Provide responsive forecasting and continual close coordination with subordinate functional managers, senior management and corporate support staff. * Communicate on a regular basis with government technical and organizational leadership. * Operational and business development responsibility for future USMC business. * Oversees the supply of logistics-related data to support customers in the general areas of engineering, supply, configuration management, technical requirements identification, installation and maintenance of equipment, safety and documentation development and maintenance. * Oversee task order requirements and assist in field support requirements. * Facilitate just in time logistics operations for deployment of key technical security equipment in support of the division's installation teams. * Establish key metrics to manage the flow, stockage levels and delivery of equipment. Qualifications: * Requires Bachelor?s Degree in a relevant technical field or equivalent combination of experience and training. * GCSS-MC experience within last five years. * Ten to twelve years of technical management experience with demonstrated proficiency in experience managing logistics or security projects/programs. * Experience with project management, information technology support and logistics support. * Ten years experience in computer applications or information technology support. * Experience growing and developing business and large capture efforts of at least 50 million. * Experience and background working with USMC and Marine Corps Systems Command providing program management support. * Oversight and management of large organizations is required. Preferred Additional Skills: * MS in Business/Logistics or MBA is desirable. * Must understand senior/top management strategic goals and objectives and know how to implement them programmatically. * Relevant work with a COR/COTR in a task order or TM environment is required. * Past work experience with Just In Time (or SCM) Logistics and logistics operations is a plus. * Operational experience at a PL center is a plus. This position requires the candidate to already possess an active Top Secret clearance and to maintain the clearance.
