Access Services Patient Access Program Manager:

The Access Services Patient Access Program Manager will be an essential member of the Access Services team. This position will be responsible for managing MedImmune's Patient Access Programs to ensure access to MedImmune therapies is unencumbered. A core focus of this role will be to develop and maintain relationships with all access-related external vendors and partners to MedImmune's Access 360™ program. This role will focus on building efficiencies, reducing waste and adding value to patient access programs wherever possible.

Key Roles/ Responsibilities:

* Manage all Patient Access Programs; evaluate eligibility criteria; streamline customer experience; manage PA vendors

* Manage Patient Access Programs budget

* Establish and track Patient Access Programs forecast

* Develop and cultivate relationships with existing and/or potential vendor partners

* Works with MedImmune team members to evaluate franchise goals, targets and objectives, as these relate to Patient Access Programs

* Conduct needs analysis and other requirements gathering to determine appropriate program benefit criteria

* Advises internal customers, partners and other stakeholders on current and future trends, evolutions and other dynamics, as these pertain to or otherwise relate to Patient Access programs and vendor organizations that support these programs

* Troubleshoot day to day challenges that arise related to Patient Access Programs

* Conduct compliance audits of Patient Access vendors and mitigate areas of risk in program offerings

* Track and drive appropriate use of Patient Access Programs

* Develop appropriate non-promotional materials to ensure awareness of Patient Access Programs

* Establish communication, reporting, and process standards within Access Services that facilitate the effective management of program resources

* Conduct regular reporting/ analytics of Patient Access Program utilization

* Provide overall dashboard reporting to the Access Services management team which highlights key business activities and utilization of Patient Access programs

* Perform industry competitive analysis to ensure Patient Access Programs are appropriate for customer base

* Work with Access Services partners and other MedImmune business units to strategically develop new program offerings and enhance existing programs

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

* Bachelors degree or greater (general business, health sciences, managed healthcare, public policy or related disciplines are preferred)

* A minimum of 3 years' related work experience designing, implementing and/or managing reimbursement or other patient assistance programs or services

* Previous work experience in contracting, outsourcing and managing external vendor partners in healthcare/healthcare reimbursement

* Expert knowledge of reimbursement and patient assistance programs: operational policies and processes

* Must demonstrate knowledge of the issues, trends and needs as these relate to healthcare reimbursement and the managed care environment

* Complies with all laws, regulations and policies that govern the conduct of MedImmune's activities related to Patient Access Programs

* Proven track record of meeting or exceeding goals and objectives

* Business travel, by air or car, is required for regular internal and external business meetings

Preferred:

* Relevant healthcare/ insurance experience with biologics

* Billing/ Coding background in buy and bill as Specialty Pharmacy market

* Previous experience in other functions within the pharmaceutical, biotech or related industry is preferred, e.g., field account management, field reimbursement, managed care marketing, customer service operations, etc
