Current Need

The Program Manager, University Relations will provide the strategic direction for our University Relations programs. Your experience gives you the ability to recognize opportunities for process improvement then quickly design and develop processes and programs that meet the needs and requirements of the business. Reporting to the VP Talent Acquisition, your opportunity is to continue to improve our first gen UR processes, and develop targeted campus partnerships to enable better access to university graduate (including intern) talent that can grow with our business needs. You will work with both internal and external partners to understand the forecasted talent needs within McKesson. Moreover, you will use your influencing ability to drive managers' decisions based on industry best practices.

Position Description

- Through collaboration, you will design and develop an aligned University Relations strategy that includes plans to grow academic partnerships over the long-term that meet the needs of McKesson.

- Dedicated to recruiting for the all business units, you will work with executive sponsors, Talent Acquisition and HR Business Partners to understand our university talent forecasts.

- Achieve set objectives of hired interns/college hires based on organizational needs, diversity, location and experience levels.

- Communicate at all levels to provide adequate and timely information on the status of the program, including preparing reports, status updates and metrics

- Lead the university team in evaluating the performance of each target university in order to determine the effectiveness in general. Manage, monitor and review analyses with main stakeholders and utilize data and feedback to ensure long terms success with universities.

- Communicate and execute university relations workshops for proper training providing recruiter interview guides and toolkits to ensure that the target school teams, campus recruiters, and presenters have the basic information and skills required to be effective.

- As the lead on the University Relations efforts, you will be responsible for developing the internal recruitment strategy which includes campus relationship management, campus marketing and branding, activities, recruitment and selection process management, and the overseeing of event management and interview scheduling.

- Develop others, demonstrate interpersonal awareness, link team to organization, encourage excellence, leverage and value diversity, and foster collaboration.

Additional Knowledge Skills

- Exceptional organization skills with high attention to detail

- Presentation experience in small and large groups required

- Excellent verbal and communication skills a must

- Knowledge with interacting with university level prospective employees

- Proven ability to adapt to ever-changing business environments and shift strategy quickly to meet those needs

- Experience working in a business unit is highly desirable

Minimum Requirements

- Minimum of 5 years of experience managing others and proven success in coaching and mentoring

- Minimum of 5 years of program management experience

- Minimum of 10 years business experience required

- Must be able to travel a minimum of 25%
