Position Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Vice President of SNC, for a $900M subsidiary of a $10B+ Strategic Business Group. They are a recognized leader in delivering engineering, information, logistics and professional services to clients in the space, defense, logistics and information technology markets at locations around the world. This position is within the Space, Networks Communications Services Business Segment (SNC). This position: will support the NASA Johnson Space Center Engineering, Technology and Science (JETS) contract located at the Johnson Space Center. The JETS contract, a science and engineering contract is projected to have a base period of 5 years with annual revenues of approximately $200M. Primary responsibilities include: managing all activities, technical performance, financial profit and loss, and human resources management of a program or programs of high risk and complexity under the terms and conditions of the contract(s) to effect optimum profit and customer satisfaction. Other responsibilities include: primary customer interface; ensure customer satisfaction and contractual compliance; identifying and pursuing new opportunities for contract revenue growth; program budget; quality systems; attract, recruit and mentor employees; establish, monitor and review individual performance goals.

Background Required:
Program management pursuit experience: develop technical, management, and cost strategies; assist business development organization is marketing and customer communications in order to develop a compliant, competitive, and technically superior proposal; assist in writing and pricing proposals
Design, develop, assembly, and certification of: flight hardware; software and ground support equipment
Proven track record with Johnson Space Center Engineering Directorate
Structural, thermal, materials, guidance and navigation, propulsion, and control system analysis
Develop and sustaining engineering of real-time engineering and human-in-the-loop simulation systems
Astromaterials research and curation
Exploration science, image science and analysis
Maintenance of major engineering test facilities in support of all NASA JSC missions
Supporting astronaut crews in earth observing activities including planning, training, cataloging, and analysis
US Citizen
Able to obtain and maintain DOD Secret Security Clearance
Education: Masters Degree in Business Management or Technical Management
Residence: Houston, TX (Relocation assistance provided)

Background Preferred (but not required):
Belted in Six Sigma and / or certified in Lean Manufacturing
Active DOD Secret Security Clearance
Program Management Professional (PMP) certification
Manned space flight experience
