Programme Delivery Manager
Corporate Operations Group (COG) provides specialist professional services, human resources, workplace infrastructure, and technology and market operations to Macquarie's businesses. The primary purpose of COG is to support and enhance the value of Macquarie through the creation of an efficient, scalable operating model. This is evident across the activities of each of the divisions which comprises of Business Improvement and Strategy Division (BIS), Business Services Division (BSD), COG Business Management, Human Resources Division (HR), Market Operations and Technology.
Within Technology there is an Account Team aligned to the Banking and Financial Services Division of Macquarie who are seeking an experienced Program (Delivery) Manager to be involved in technical systems delivery across infrastructure and business related deliveries.
The role will be accountable for Delivery Programs for the Retail business that span across multiple businesses units and technology delivery teams.
The candidate must have demonstrated results in managing technology programs that require utilizing virtual and federated teams.
The work will involve business consultation, project planning, and the management of multiple project teams under direct and indirect reporting structures to deliver solutions successfully.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Structuring and managing the team's program of work, including preparation and management of budgets, risk and issues management, and inter-team communication
- Defining new projects, including business case, functional scope, process and system impact analysis, resource planning, financials planning, governance models, etc
- Managing projects, including progress management, risk and issues management, resource tracking, financials tracking, stakeholder management, and associated status reporting
- Contributing to the continuous improvement of project management practices in the team, including mentoring team members, and creation and use of tools to assist project management
The following professional skills are required:
- A proven track record in managing and delivery of IT programmes up to $5million
- Demonstrated ability to lead multiple teams under direct and indirect management structures to achieve common delivery outcomes
- Strong capability in planning a programme of projects.
- Experience with project / software delivery methodologies
- A strong appreciation of key business drivers and an understanding of the IT impact upon the business
- Staff management skills for a medium size team of 30 people.
- Be able to continually coach and guide the team to plan and deliver effectively.
- The ability to multi-task and work well under pressure, providing timely and accurate solutions to numerous business technology needs
- Ability to gather information from multiple sources both verbally and written and then consolidate and present this information
- Excellent stakeholder management skills across Business, IT, Risk, Finance and Legal stakeholders.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Excellent financial management skills.
- Strong problem solving skills.
- Be a quick learner, self-motivated and have a strong proactive mentality
- Exposure to the financial services industry
