Programme Manager (Banking Director, Finance / Accounting)
You will be responsible for the inception, development and delivery of multiple technical projects across a range of programmes.
Duties within the role will include:
- Stakeholder management – You can expect half your working day to be spent interacting with senior stakeholders, developing and maintaining relationships within all areas of the business:
- Interacting with multiple business areas
- Providing advice on technical direction, including advice on new and emerging technologies
- End to end responsibility for Financial IT Systems and Services
- Working in the business unit to shape IT strategy, ensuring successful delivery according to specification
- Budgetary control (experience of £10 – 20m+ expected)
- Personnel management
- Managing both on and offshore teams with a variety of skill sets and knowledge
- Ensuring high standards are adhered to at all times
- Providing clear strategic direction to the team,
- Decision Making
- Ensuring projects are delivered successfully and on time.
- Accountable for end-to-end delivery of IT services to the business units, acting as the leading authority for driving the projects forwards
The successful Programme Manager (Banking Director, Finance / Accounting) will:
- Have experience of integrating financial systems into large and complex blue chip environments (e.g. SAP, Oracle Financials, Custom in-house products / applications).
- This is a stakeholder focussed role, the ability to interact with stakeholders and ensure their satisfaction at all stages of the process is essential. The candidate must have exceptional and tangible client facing skills.
- Apply their experience in program delivery to influence direction and effectively manage/ solve any problems that may arise within the project lifecycle
- Be up-to-date with new technology services and products, passing this on to colleagues and direct reports, whilst also using this knowledge to influence project direction where applicable
- Having a practical understanding of key issues in IT security
- Maintains and remains focused on the strategic goals of the organisations
This is a high pressure, technical role. The Programme Manager (Banking Director, Finance / Accounting) will be interacting closely with all senior stakeholders and senior managers up to CIO level. You will need to be passionate, dedicated and highly knowledgeable within your field, with solid, successful experience in Project and Programme Management.
