I have an an exciting opportunity for a top programme manager to join my clients asset servicing group. They are a leading investment management and investment services company with terrific career progression and opportunities for people who can deliver on complex programmes

Typical programmes are:
The transition of new clients services to Asset servicing
The development implementation of strategic products services
The design implementation of operating models, processes systems to streamline operations

The post holder manages the planning, organising and implementation of medium sized strategic programs (highly visible initiatives crossing multiple disciplines, businesses, and/or organisations). Responsible for the coordinated management of multiple related projects, and in many cases, ongoing operations which are directed toward a common objective. Works with constituent Project Managers (who are responsible to the Program Manager for the execution of their project and its impact on the program) to monitor cost, schedule, and technical performance of component projects and operations, while working to ensure the ultimate success of the program. Responsible for determining and coordinating the sharing of resources among their constituent projects to the overall benefit of the program. Responsible for stakeholder management particularly stakeholders external to the organisation. Facilitates Steering Committee and regular program team status meetings and all other communications. All team members within the program report to the Program Manager for the duration of the project. The Program Manager is accountable for the overall management and delivery of the program on behalf of business, operations and IT.

Role split:
40%: Own formal definition, documentation, and communication of overall program scope and objectives. Manage all changes to the scope and requirements through a formally defined change control process. Define and manage the life cycle from project initiation through to program closure. Manage and resolve risks, issues and dependencies.
20%: Measure and monitor program actuals, forecast and budgets and update plans with accurate, up-to-date information in a timely manner. Follow financial standards processes (e.g. monthly external revenue accruals, software capitalisation, procurement external payments). Report financial information and status to the required executive level through steering committees.
40%: Secure, lead and motivate and inspire the internal external resources required to deliver the program. Establish the programs governance (e.g. sponsors, approvers, stakeholders). Manages Program Office Resources. May have formal management responsibility for Program Team Members.

Qualifications

Deep level experience and understanding of system development methodology's.
Experience managing vendors and contracts as components of a program.
B.S. or B.A. or equivalent work experience required.
Project Management Institute Project Management Certification (PMP) or other formal Project Management certification preferred.The JM Group is acting as an employment agency with relation to this vacancy.
