Programme Manager, Operations recruitment

Project Mercury is a major UK regulatory initiative significantly re-engineering the business model for the UK presence of UBS Investment Bank across all traded product lines. The program is being led via a small core team operating out of the EMEA COO function, using federated program management teams across all relevant business areas. This senior Programme Manager role is to lead the cross Operations delivery of the Mercury Program.

Mercury is a multi year initiative and the precise nature of the deliverables will change through the life of the programme, however key responsibilities will include :

Programme Governance

• Driving programme governance and execution for IB Operations

• Liaise with all key stakeholders and related governance forums, within and outside of IB Operations, to ensure clear cross-team accountability and to provide updates from/ input to Mercury worksteams

• Co-ordinate and monitor overall budget in line with agreed priorities

• Escalate issues to respective management teams / committees

• Ensure suitable visibility across workstreams, scorecard reporting, update / review meetings

• Establish a clear communications plan throughout the various stages on implementation to be rolled out across IB Operations whilst leveraging all other stakeholder groups as applicable

Delivery Execution

• Provide clear and concise F2B overview / plan of known short and medium term deliverables

• Perform QA review of individual workstream content and execution and overall workstream alignment (i.e. no. of gaps, minimum duplication)

• Identify and manage inter-dependencies across all workstreams impacting IB Operations

oLiaise with respective technology teams to ensure correct and timely delivery

oManage and/or escalate conflicts, issues and risks with respective stakeholders

oOwn cross-workstream issues and drive to resolution

• Co-ordinate and drive execution of deliverables across IB Operations, through to the implementation and handover to RTB teams

The Mercury function is part of the newly instigated Regulatory Change Team and as a senior hire, the Mercury PM will also be expected to :

• Contribute to the ongoing development of the Regulatory Change agenda and team

• Participate in the Regulatory Change Design Authority

• Liaise on management / oversight of the overall Regulatory Portfolio

• Work on identification of cross program synergies / leveraging of skills and knowledge across this broader team
