Programme Projects Control Manager (Business Change)
Package £48,000 Base - £40-42,000
Based: Leeds/Solihull
Within the Business Change team our Client has an expanding change portfolio that requires continual improvement of quality standards and general Project and Programme controls across this portfolio.
We are looking for a candidate with considerable hands on experience of end to end business change, with strong interpersonal and leadership skills to carry these changes through the Organisation. You should be commercially aware with a broad range of experience and the ability to communicate with and influence senior management.
Key Job Responsibilities:
- Set up, initiate, develop and maintain the Programme and Project minimum quality standards through all stages of the change lifecycle
- Ensure that appropriate strategies are in place to support the overall quality agenda
- Influence and shape what good practice looks like both within the Organisation and in line with wider Industry best practice
- Develop and maintain evolving Programme/Project controls processes and procedures across the Business Change portfolio, including: Investment capital, Financial, Resource, Risk, Change management Method adoption and compliance
- Ensure regular QA and Health check practices are applied and executed with appropriate reporting and action plans in place and followed through
- Defining and providing resource capability to support day to day consistent Programme and Project services
- Line management of all Programme and Project Control resources, inc. team of 25 people
- Working with stakeholders to establish and set up new Programmes, Projects in controlled environments where required
Essential Skills/ Knowledge:
- Broad range of experience of implementing and developing change through a variety of organisations
- Demonstrable working experience of Programme and Project controls
- Ability and skills to lead end to end business change, shaping what good practice looks like, for our client and the relevant Government bodies
- Strong business awareness on project controls
- Exceptional interpersonal skills able to communicate at all levels
- Strong analytical and investigatory skills
- Good report writing and communication styles both verbally and written
- Strong understanding of the practical application of Planning/organising principles and techniques
