Position Description This position posting is for a series of entry level programmer analyst positions for Boeing's Information Technology division. The organization offers a diverse range of both the people who the new hire will get to work with and the systems they would work on if selected. Programmer analysts are responsible for providing assistance to design, program and execute simple test plans. Implements, documents and maintains basic computing applications. They would write and compile basic code and construct basic database objects based on documented design. Responsibilities would also include modifying or upgrading applications to maintain software functionality, assisting in gathering information to determine architecture specifications, parameters for software compatibility, application security needs and other application architecture requirements. Some examples of the systems we support are: Engineering, Finance, Human Resources, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain. The new team members will be paired with a mentor who will help acclimate them to the position. We expect the new team members demonstrate initiative for learning, adaptability to complex situations and a fundamental understanding of how IT systems operate. Entry level employees will participate in a developed on-boarding experience which helps explain the strategies of the organization, introduce them to other new employees, interact with our leadership and provide career resources to help them navigate through a variety of opportunities.
