Programmer Analyst

 

 

Position:  Programmer Analyst III - Sharepoint

Location:  Lloydminster, Red Deer, Edmonton

Reporting to the Manager – IS Application Development the incumbent will provide an overall technical lead role for current and future Microsoft Sharepoint Development and support for Servus Credit Union.

 

Required Skill Set:

 

·         Must have a proven dedication to application development and the ability to enforce design development and testing standards.

·         Proven experience in integration of applications and business systems.

·         Well-versed in process workflow concepts and modeling techniques. 

·         Well-versed in human computer interfaces, cross problem domain services (i.e. security), QA techniques, impact and risk technology, and separation of business rules from information derivation and access.

·         Developed and deployed into a production environment (full project lifecycle) a client/server application system using distributed object technology.

·         Relational database management system experience.

·         Strong organizational skills with the ability to shift priorities, adapt to change effectively, and learn multiple software and technical skills.

·         Exceptional computer knowledge of current software development methodologies

·         Exceptional programming skills with client/server experience preferred working knowledge of ITIL Service Management principles and practices (where applicable)

 

Sharepoint Competencies – Intermediate to Advanced knowledge in the following concepts:

 

·         MOSS 2007/2010 Web Content Management features.

·         Building custom web parts on MOSS 2007 and SharePoint 2010 platforms.

·         Creating Sharepoint content types using Visual Studio 2010.

·         Implementing enterprise portal solutions.

·         Creating SharePoint features and solution packages.

·         SharePoint 2010 and WSS 3.0 Object Model.

·         High level SharePoint Architecture such as SSP

·         List Schema Syntax

·         .NET 3.5.

·         T-SQL and stored procedures in SQL Server 2008.

·         .NET programming skill (C#)

·         HTML/CSS/XML

·         Browser DOM

·         JavaScript JQuery

·         ASP.NET Object Model

 

Licenses/Certificates

 

·         Post secondary education plus six or more years of job related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

·         Considerable skill in applying key development concepts and constructs, can train others.

·         Considerable skill in applying database concepts (normalization, SQL query language constructs), can train others

·         Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office product line and opportunities

·         Broad knowledge of and familiarity with the systems development life cycle (SDLC) and related practices and techniques

·         Must have demonstrated user interaction / support skills and excellent verbal and written communication skills

·         Willingness to learn, take initiative

 

Special Requirements

·         Experience in SharePoint development, using both out of the box and custom coded solutions.

·         Experience developing solutions in SharePoint 2010.

Experience as a senior developer with Microsoft Technologies (.Net, SQL Server)

·         Experience with the Business Intelligence features of SharePoint, building dashboards and exposing data from external systems through SharePoint (would be an asset)

·         Experience with the Enterprise Content Management features of SharePoint, setting up classification systems, defining content types and associated rules, recommending system architectures to effectively support ECM. (would be an asset)

·         Report developing abilities using SQL Server (would be an asset)
