Job Objection:

The Programmer position is responsible for the designing, coding, testing, debugging, and documentation for all inhouse developed Windows-based client/server, standalone and web applications and for developing code to support our vendor supplied packaged software applications and batch processes that require a strong knowledge of SQL, DTS and SSIS.

Requires a minimum of 3 years experience of development of web facing applications using various programming languages such as Visual Basic, JavaScript, Cold Fusion, and using Microsoft Access, SQL Server 2000 and 2005, and DB2 databases.

  • Minimum of 2 years experience of health care background. Knowledgable in the area of authorization processing, familiarity with E CAP is a plus.Proficient with DTS package creation and SSIS usage.
  • Proficient with XML, HTML and concepts related to data transformation.
  • Thorough knowledge and experience with system development methodology; with the ability to tie these into the use of department standards and policies and procedures.
  • Ability to adapt experience and learn new languages.
  • Familiarity with the practice of development using a structured system life cycle and proper change control practices.
  • Experience with Crystal reports or other reporting tools required.
  • Experience with Adobe Dreamweaver preferred.
  • Experience with clinical applications preferred.
  • Project Management experience preferred.

Education and Experience:

  • A Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or appropriate industry experience and /or certification preferred.
  • Familiarity with healthcare industry preferred.
