Program/Project Manager

This individual will lead small teams across a high number of continuing engineering, and/or improvement initiatives for the Home Entertainment Product Development Group. The focus will be both in the realm of software and hardware support and improvement initiatives.

The successful candidate will determine the appropriate path for the projects, organize and facilitate necessary team meetings, producing minutes, action items and keep the Management adequately informed,. The individual will participate in uncovering issues, determine severity and priority, driving to root cause and leading the team to effective resolution.

The individual will be a key leader in cost reduction initiatives and requlatory driven changes to the products assessing the business impacts involved.

This individual will also regularly update and maintain historical records for the projects, assist in the preparation of documentation and information needed for major meetings with senior management,
and will track performance and adjust plans to align with interim shifting of activities and resources.

He/she may interact with Engineering, Bose Manufacturing, Validation and Verification groups, Software Development, suppliers and subcontractors;

Working hours: 1st Shift

Experience in the following areas:
-Experience in SW project management, bug tracking, reporting, and Change Control Boards. (CCB), Sw product releases or database updates.
-Experience with project scheduling and planning
-Experience with MS Project
-Experience with project cost estimating, program accounting practices and
-Well rounded business acumen
-Exposure to and ability to grasp basic technologies and engineering/manufacturing processes involved in new
product development
-Team building and team leadership
-Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with cross functional technical teams, business organizations, vendors and upper management staff.

BS in Engineering required; MS in Engineering or MBA strongly desired. Requires 3 to 5 years experience within a Product Development role, preferably within consumer electronics. In addition, minimum 2 to 3 years experience within a Program/Project Manager role with a proven track record of successfully managing small projects within various phases development or production/maintenance.
