The role

As a Project Accountant you’ll play a role encompassing the design, management and delivery of business critical projects, and providing day to day oversight and control of the company’s domestic and international tax position.

Specifically you will:

Work with the management and support service peer groups to deliver both finance and cross service group projects across a spectrum of requirements including treasury management across international bank accounts, corporate structure reviews, systems and process integration, development of financial models and reports and internal and external due diligence to support wider commercial objectives.

Manage the relationship and reporting requirements with overseas accountants (branch and subsidiary), and provide a single point of contract for the tax requirements of the company, to include:

• Corporation tax – completion of UK transfer pricing and follow-through to filing of returns

• VAT – ensuring financial accounts are properly stated through the reconciliation of overseas returns (for some jurisdictions this will include the completion and filing of returns)

• State tax – identification of filing requirements and completion of returns

• Other tax issues as they arise

What we are looking for

As the ideal candidate you’ll have a sharp inquisitive mind, with the commercial aptitude and flair to lead management thinking, you’ll be qualified (ACA, CIMA or ACCA) with international industry experience in consulting or a professional services environment and display an advanced technical aptitude with excel and relevant system/reporting tools with which to deliver in your role.

The role may offer the opportunity for line management and experience within this area would differentiate the successful candidate.
