On behalf the European headquarters in Zurich (Switzerland), we are recruiting for finance professional balance. The job is titled as Project Accountant (m-f).

About the Position

We are looking for a Project Accountant to help integrate newly acquired businesses and work on various accounting issues that arise periodically. Key responsibilities include:

•  Manage integration of the accounting and finance function of newly acquired companies

•  Train accounting teams at newly acquired companies to use our ERP and back office systems

•  Work with valuation experts on 409(A) and SFAS 141R analysis

•  Prepare documentation for various accounting issues, such as impairments, goodwill testing, option valuations, etc.

•  Perform research on new accounting pronouncements or newly applicable accounting rules and work with the Director of Finance and the SVP Finance in US to set and implement policy, including preparing written documentation of treatment

•  Work on various accounting projects that arise from time to time at the direction of the Director of Finance

•  Assist accounting team with closing the books and preparing SEC documents as necessary (transitions, new issues, etc)

•  Assist with Sarbanes-Oxley implementation as needed

Qualifications

•  Bachelors’ Degree in Accounting

•  +4 years of experience, preferably with first experience in public accounting

•  Strong knowledge of GAAP and IFRS, particularly around business acquisitions, foreign currency translation, stock compensation, cash flows and equity transactions

•  Experience with Intacct and Cognos a plus

•  Experience with multi-location, multi-currency reporting preferred

•  International travel estimated at 20% - 50% of time, depending on frequency and scope of acquisitions

•  Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

•  Self-motivated, accurate and able to perform well under pressure
