Project Accounting Supervisor
The Supervisor of Project Accounting position is responsible for creating, reviewing and monitoring the financial activity related to the company's more complex projects within specific business units or functional areas. The Supervisor will oversee, review and approve the less complex projects created by the Project Accounting staff. In addition, the Supervisor will monitor and review various controls/reports to ensure accuracy of the financial statements. Projects may include, but are not limited to: construction and remodel of stores and warehouses, software projects (such as Project Simplify), Marketing/Advertising or prepaid related projects. Related activities will include: project setup and closure; project maintenance; asset capitalization; project accruals, report creation and analysis, and other more complex accounting transactions. Consultation and frequent interaction with various business unit project managers as well as divisional Finance associates, and Project Accounting staff. This position will also be responsible for ensuring that general ledger month-end close requirements are met accurately and timely, ensuring the successful closing of the company's financials.
