Project and Process Support Officer recruitment

Enterprise Risk Management is a newly formed global organization. Enterprise Risk Management was created to proactively assist the businesses, Operations and Technology, and the independent control groups in enhancing the effectiveness of controls and managing operational risks across products, business lines and regions. The Citi Retail Services Enterprise Risk Management team will be responsible for the following processes: Control Validation and Targeted Testing, Independent Review and Assessment of Key Business activities, Partner program review, Process and Project Review.

Enterprise Risk works proactively with businesses and global functions to embed a strong operational risk management culture and framework across Citi. Enterprise Risk is responsible for identifying, anticipating and mitigating risks that could impact business objectives, and minimizing operational risk events and losses.

The primary objectives of the Project and Process Support Officer are as follows:

-Support efforts to perform independent review of key business activities including; business projects and significant business processes..

-Support efforts to drive improvements in process controls, perform root cause analysis, and foster a strengthened control environment as a result of process reviews.

-Support efforts to enhance the ongoing sustainability of controls through active two-way engagement with the business. Participate in efforts to ensure current process controls and new project controls provide the necessary feedback to understand if gaps in process or compliance exist..

Key Responsibilities:

-Analyze business processes and projects for trending and emerging risk.
-Identify opportunities to improve control design and effectiveness.
-Work cross functionally to adopt and champion best practices related to control design and oversight within Enterprise Risk and In-Business Controls.
-Collaborate in the design or redesign of process and project controls, ensuring adequate controls are placed appropriately in the business process and project. .
-Support the Business implementation of projects and processes in a manner that promotes a strategic partnership between In-Business Control and Enterprise Risk.
-Participate in significant projects in Citi Retail Services or in horizontal projects that may impact the Citi Retail Services business.
-Support in the development of strategies to assess risk to the business through review of business initiatives and projects and processes.
Be able to assist in the implementation of 'best practices' drawing on collective risk experience/knowledge, efficiencies and internal audit/compliance requirements.

The ideal candidate will have in-depth, detailed knowledge of partner card products and services. Prior experience in previous roles may include Front/Back Office, Operations, Compliance, Audit and Risk Management.

Skills

Specific Risk Experience:

-Bachelor's degree in related field or 5+ years of related industry experience
-Strong analytical skills applicable across different functions, products and portfolios.
-Ability to understand sampling methodologies, testing strategies, issue remediation strategies.
-Prioritizes high impact potential problems effectively.

-Innovative. Well versed in developing new ideas and improving current processes.
-Considers broad implications of decisions on different functions and products.
-Can clearly articulate the processes supporting a business unit's function, controls, business priorities, impact on financial reporting, issues and risks associated with various technology platforms; can identify gaps and proactively help develop solutions.
-Experience in Operational Risk with knowledge of credit card and partner card portfolios.

Excellent Communication Skills:
-Both verbal and written.
-Experienced in using active listening techniques on a consistent basis.
-Collaborate with key decision makers across various levels and functions within the organization; diffuse conflict and work toward agreement.

Travel Requirements:
-Less than 10% of time. Ability to travel between Citi Retail Services locations.
