Project Assurance Specialist recruitment
My client is looking for a Project Assurance Specialist with significant experience in the financial services sector providing management support to project and program managers who help to increase efficiencies and drive change across the business.

This role involves a number of important responsibilities including:
- Provide consulting, coaching, training and support to Program / Project Managers responsible for applying project development processes;
- Proactively identify risks that would prevent the successful implementation of the program / project and escalating to senior management as required;
- Provide information and processes to assist executives in overseeing the portfolio of projects;
- Provide Project Managers with information on best practice project governance;
- Plan, schedule and conduct training sessions for Project Managers on project management process and project management best practices;
- Assist Project Managers in tailoring and creating appropriate, detailed project plans;
- Analyse and summarise program / project status for the program executives;
- Support and monitor completion of programs influencing program performance;
- Provide risk management at the program level; identify, evaluate, report and mitigate program level risks;
- Project intervention as required to ensure acceptable project risk levels and increase the likelihood of success;
- Enhance and develop project team members’ capabilities regarding project management leadership and discipline;
- Build professional capability in the discipline of project management;
- Review and provide specific feedback on key project lifecycle artefacts to the Project Manager;
- On-going situational coaching on leading practices.
With a role of this nature the following person profile would be an ideal fit:
- Relevant qualification (Prince2 or other project management qualification desirable);
- Advanced user of MS Office Suite (Word, Excel);
- Experience managing projects and program implementation including experience managing budgets;
- Experience leading large project teams;
- Excellent knowledge of project management best practices;
- Successfully managed multiple projects or large cross-enterprise projects;
- Has managed projects with a significant technical component;
- Has managed projects with legal aspect and /or third party vendors;
- Expert knowledge of Project Management Tools.
