Project Buyer / Inkoper Subcontracting Project Procurement

An engineering company providing engineering services in the oil gas industry is currently looking for an experienced Project buyer to strengthen the purchasing department of their on- offshore division.

The Project Buyer reports to the Purchasing Manager and is part of project teams. As member of the project team reports the Project Buyer to the Project Manager.
The purchasing package consists of all materials and goods that need to be purchased as well as for subcontracting. The responsibilities include therefor contracting and subcontracting next to the purchasing activities. The Project Buyer defines the content of the contracts and subcontracts and monitors if the content is met in the daily project activities.
The Project Buyer is also taking care that the purchased goods are delivered in time to the project location to avoid any delays in the project progress.
Next to the daily purchasing activities according to the project plan and specifications provided by project engineers and leaders is the project buyer taking care of quality and cost-efficiency of all purchasing activities. This means to identify improvement potential and implement and lead improvement projects.

The ideal candidate has a HBO degree and the purchasing qualification NEVI. At least three to five years of professional experience in project-driven purchasing in on- and offshore projects are required. Excellent communication skills in English and Dutch are essential for the role.
