Project Buyer OJEU (6 months FTC) Job in Surrey, Home Counties UK

Inside Out has been engaged by a public sector business to recruit an experienced Buyer of a 6 month Contract. The Buyer's primary function is to carry out tendering and negotiation of the following areas and MUST have experience within property maintenance and repair as their primary category:

* Property - internal and external maintenance, in/out of hours emergency repair
* Telephone Conferencing - Conference call provider
* Food and Catering - wholesale catering
* Courier - shipping of goods within the UK
* Cleaning - Office and residential care cleaning

The Buyer will be part of a project team and support the project buyer and purchasing officer in all activity as well as manage specific parts of the project (i.e. tendering).

The buyer must have the following skills and attributes:

* Experience of all types of RFx processes ensuring that all processes are delivered at a high quality standard whilst ensuring all information and analysis is complete and accurate
* Experienced and successful negotiator
* Experience of supplier management essential
* Communicate professionally and confidently at all levels both internally and externally.
* Experience of working with and influencing stakeholders
* Successfully managed projects with the drive to meet tight deadlines and milestones.
* Effective judgment in difficult scenarios and experience and ability to make the right decisions.
* Target orientated
* Ensure the right suppliers are selected through the ability of analyzing complex data as well as meet the standards and quality of supply.
* Experience and ability to create a set of KPI's and specific SLA's accordingly.
* Experience and knowledge in understanding contract terms and conditions is essential.
* Can do attitude
* CIPS preferred but not essential
* Proficient in the use of ALL Microsoft applications with excellent skills in Excel
