Project Controls Professional Job in Landover, Maryland US
O'Brien Gere is currently looking for a Project Controls professional in Landover, MD. Under general supervision, this person will perform assignments of limited scope relating to project control activities for various design and/or construction projects. The incumbent must be capable of applying standard techniques, procedures and criteria in carrying out a sequence of related project controls tasks. Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Provide historical cost data in support of project development activities.
- Assist with the development of billing rates in support of project development activities.
- Assist with procurement plan, coordination of subcontracts and material equipment purchase orders
- Convert project estimates into a Project Authorization Form (PAF) for Oracle entry.
- Administer cash flow on assigned projects, including revenue recognition, allocation of undistributed costs, preparation of invoices, accounts receivable and subcontractor and vendor payments.
- Provide project managers with Oracle support and assistance with project control tools
- Periodic audit of project files for adherence with O’Brien Gere’s Quality Management System.
- Review outstanding commitments during project closeout
- Reconcile subcontract values with waivers of lien
Skills Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree with 0-1 year relevant experience, Associates degree with 1-3 years relevant experience or 5+ years of relevant experience
- Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Access and Excel
- Good analytical/math skills
- Good written and oral communication skills
- Good organizational skills
- Experience with Oracle Financials or related preferred but not required
