Project Coordinator - ONUS Tracking Code 2NC.11 Job Description JOB SUMMARY: The personnel assigned to this position are responsible for ensuring that all new construction is completed in accordance with the Plans, Specifications, Special Provisions, Standard Drawings, and Approved Material List. Incumbents of this position will oversee inspection work of Contractors, supervise Inspectors, coordinate construction projects, review Field Checks, review As-Built drawings, and other miscellaneous work as required. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: * Ensures all assigned construction projects are properly inspected * Ensures that all construction is performed in accordance with approved Construction Issued Plans, Specifications, Special Provisions, Standard Construction Specifications, Standard Construction Drawings and the materials used are on the subsidiary's Approved Material List. * Interface with local authorities (federal, state, and county) to ensure the design and construction are in accordance with permit requirements. Assist the Project Engineer or Project Team Leader in obtaining necessary permits. * Verifies quantities installed as reported by assigned Inspector(s) are correct. * Reviews Inspector's recommendation of contractor's invoices; indicates concurrence when satisfied and initiates approval when correct and work is installed per plans and specifications. * Prepares Additional Authorization requests as warranted. * Working within established guidelines reviews and forwards Change Orders to the Project Team Leader/Project Engineer for approval. * Oversees the administration of approved Change Order work. * Coordinates shutdowns with appropriate Post/Base personnel. * Assures assigned Inspectors monitor contractor/subcontractor compliance with applicable Safety Standards. * Oversees Inspectors work to ensure that all assigned project construction is correctly installed; project sites are safe and properly maintained during the work period; and clean and secure before contractor leaves the site each day. * Assists in the preparation of project schedules and budgets when needed. * Reviews Daily Inspection Reports, Chlorination Reports and Contractor Performance Reports. * Reviews "Field Checks" performed by assigned Inspectors or others on Preliminary Plans to assure obstructions and/or other observed conflicting utilities are properly noted to facilitate final project designs. * Coordinate with other departments as necessary to facilitate construction. * Procure material, when required, to support the project scope. * Promote goodwill in all dealings with company affiliates, developers, contractors, local governmental agencies, and the public-at-large.
